KARACHI: Karachi police are still clueless about the whereabouts of the 16-year-old girl, Hafsa Bibi, who went missing from the Shah Faisal Colony area on August 30, ARY News reported on Sunday.

Karachi police failed to recover the missing Hafsa Bibi, 16, who went missing from the Shah Faisal Colony area on August 30 after leaving her home for madrassah.

The family of the missing girl told the media that the girl was abducted by unidentified persons and a case was lodged at the Shah Faisal Colony police station.

The family alleged that the police investigators were not working on the abduction case and they kept visiting the police station for two months.

Earlier in January, two teenage girls from Karachi, who went missing from Korangi area, had been recovered from Lahore.

According to details, the two teenage girls – who were reported missing from Korangi area – were recovered from Lahore Railway Station.

In a statement, the police said that the two teenagers reached Lahore Cantt Station from Khyber Mail at 2:30 am. “They were wearing men’s clothes in a bid to hide their identity,” the police added.

The railways police questioned the teenagers after seeing the girls in a distressed condition at the station. “The girls left the home due to the inappropriate behaviour of their fathers,” the police claimed.

Following the investigation, the Railways police later handed over the girls – who were students of eight grade – to Karachi police.
