Bollywood star Varun Dhawan issued a clarification over the ’embarrassing’ Gigi Hadid moment on stage at the NMACC launch.
Recently, a video of Dhawan with Hadid from the NMACC launch event made rounds on the internet, where the actor got the supermodel on stage during his performance. Much to her surprise, he lifted her in his arms and spinned her around the stage before planting a kiss on her cheek.

Following the backlash, the ‘Bhediya’ actor took to his account on the micro-blogging site to clarify the matter.
In response to a now-deleted criticizing tweet, Dhawan wrote, “I guess today you woke up and decided to be woke. So lemme burst ur bubble and tell u it was planned for her to be on stage.”

“So find a new Twitter cause to vent about rather then going out and doing something about things,” he added.
Moreover, the supermodel also put the rumours to rest while giving a shoutout to the Bollywood celeb on her Instagram stories. Resharing a video of the two from an Instagram user, Hadid wrote, “Varun Dhawan making my Bollywood dreams come true.”
Looks like all is well between the celebrities and it was indeed a ‘planned’ gimmick.
